Q:Hi Mus, can you tell us about your next fight? A:I'm fighting in the UFC in Las Vegas on Febuary 6th. I'm fighting Rolles Gracie
What do you think of your next opponent? He's a difficult prospect. Being a Gracie he obviously has a great Jiujitsu background but its not just reputation, he has an excellent pedigree in BJJ and submission wrestling competition. He's also undefeated so doesn't yet know how to lose, though I'll change that next month. He also trains with a couple of good camps, Renzo's and Jacksons so I think he'll be well prepped. The difference will be that I believe I'm the better overall fighter and I'm more experienced so that I think, will be the deciding factor.
Q:How did you feel your last fight went? A: I think it was going ok up till the eye poke. Some people think Crocop dropped me earlier but if you watch the footage I tripped. I was on the floor, relaxed and ready to defend myself. Then I got back up and I recieved the fingers into both my eyes and the ref called it after that. It was a horrible not only in how it felt but more in the fact that I lost the fight from such a blatant foul, accidental or otherwise. I'm really looking forward to some redemption in the Octagon!
Q:How is your training going at the moment? A: Good. I've got great training partners and coaches and the new training facility is amazing. I really cant wait to go back to vegas for this fight.
Q:Which other fighters do you admire? A:Randy Couture is always an inspiration. He just keeps going in and outside the ring and is such a good competitor.
Q:Do you have any new years resolutions and what are your goals for 2010? A: To keep training hard, get a nice run of wins in the UFC
